2024 was a great year for gaming. We were treated to one delight after another. There have been few years, if any, in a the past decade that we have been this spoiled for choice. We ended up with not 5, not 10, but a whopping 20 candidates! The nominations are:

For a year that is so rich with such a variety of phenomenal experiences, the Game of the Year was a surprisingly easy pick for us.
GAME OF THE YEAR:
FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH
Not to spoil anything for friends who would play it on PC for the first time, we can confidently claim that from the moment it opens to the moment it ends, its an experience that cannot be missed by anyone, and one that is multiplied fourfold, if you are a fan of the original. Without taking away from any of the other nominees, Rebirth is made less like a game, and more like embroidery/tapestry where each time the weaver’s needle has gone in and come out, its done so with utmost love and care.
Square Enix has some serious work cut out for it. Unless, Part 3 does something groundbreaking, this will give it a run for its money as a strong candidate as the game of the decade!
